Core Values

Love God

We believe that God is the Creator of everything and that He exists eternally in three Persons.
Deuteronomy 6:4 • Isaiah 64:8 • Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19 • John 16:7-15 • Hebrews 1:2-3

We believe that sin has kept us from knowing God and worshipping Him but that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
John 3:16 • Acts 2:22-39Romans 3:21-24

We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, a true and fully accurate account of God’s love for us. Its purpose is to teach us how to have a relationship with Him, worship Him, and bring Him glory.
Psalm 19:7-10 • 2 Timothy 3:15-17 • 2 Peter 1:19-21

We believe that salvation is God’s gift to us. It is available to anyone who confesses the Lord Jesus with their mouth and believes that God has raised Him from death to life.
John 5:24 • Romans 10:9-10 • Ephesians 2:8-9

Love Each Other

We believe that Jesus established His body on earth in the church and that the church is a community that exists for the purpose of declaring the gospel and glory of Jesus throughout the world.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31 • Colossians 1:18-20 • 1 Peter 2:9

We believe the church is a family and that every believer should be identified with a local body of believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth, and accountability.
Ephesians 4:11-16 • Colossians 3:12-25 • Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe Water Baptism is a declaration to others that a person has believed on Jesus Christ for salvation. Baptism by immersion in water represents the person being crucified, buried, and resurrected with Jesus, and a testimony of the cleansing power of God and our faith into new life with Him.

We believe the baptism of Holy Spirit is available to all believers. It is separate from salvation. Holy Spirit brings power to the believer to be effective witnesses for Jesus, as well as He blesses us with spiritual gifts for the encouragement of others, and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit.

We believe Communion is intended for Jesus’ followers, by which they acknowledge and remember His work on the cross and our remembrance of Him.

Love The World

We believe that God cares about every need of every person and that the church, as Christ’s body, is to show his love and care for every person. Every member of the church is called to be a minister of the gospel through acts of loving service and a willingness to share the truth of the gospel with everyone.

Freedom Church Dixon progressively lives out its mission to reveal Christ to the world by loving people, cultivating community, and inspiring hope. Some of the ways we demonstrate God’s love is through outreach.
John 13:34-35 • 1 Peter 3:15 • 1 Peter 4:8

We believe that God wants to transform, heal, and provide for us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.

We believe our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
Isaiah 49:6 • Matthew 28:18-20 • Romans 10:13-15 • 1 Timothy 2:3-4

WE CELEBRATE

Jesus Christ established the church to carry on His ministry and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, spreading the good news of God's love, and teaching the nations - baptizing and discipling them to love and obey Him.

MARRIAGE

The monogamous marriage between a male and female was established by God as the foundation of the family, and as an image of the spiritual marriage between Jesus and the church. As stated in Genesis 2:24, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and 1 Timothy 1:9-11.

BABY DEDICATION

A baby dedication is a ceremony during which Christian parents (and sometimes entire families) make a commitment to raise their child(ren) according to the Word of God. Children who are dedicated to the Lord by their parents are making a promise to the Lord to raise them in a Godly manner until they are old enough to make their own decisions (1 Samuel 1:11, Luke 2:22).
